Contributions by private donors are crucial for supporting the LBI’s work to preserve and research the history of the German-speaking Jewry. Thanks to the funding provided by our friends and supporters, the LBI can continue its educational core work and organise free events and lectures on a wide range of topics. The guide below illustrates what we can do with your donation:
- £50 buys a book for the LBI library, enabling students to study and research the history of German-speaking Jewry.
- £100 allows to award a prize for the best undergraduate essay in German-Jewish history to a student at Queen Mary – supporting and nurturing the next generation of researchers in our field.
- £200 invites a speaker to one of our public events.
- £500 contributes towards the publication of cutting-edge research on German-Jewish history in one of our book series.
- £1000 finances an outreach event with the local community.
- £3000 funds our annual lecture series for one year, inviting five international speakers to London, sharing their exciting new research.
