Since my graduation I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Cultural Anthropology / European Ethnology at Georg August University Göttingen (Minerva) and at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem as a Lady Davis fellow (2011-2012) and at the Franz Rosenzweig Minerva Research Center for German-Jewish Literature and Cultural History (spring semester 2013). Currently I am a Warburg Post-doc fellow at the Mandel Institute for Jewish Studies and at the I-Core project – Da’at Hamakom: The Study of Modern Jewish Culture, also at theHebrewUniversity(2013-2014). In the last three years I have been teaching various courses at the Folklore and Folk-Culture MA program at theHebrewUniversity.

Next year (2014-2015) I will be a fellow at theKatzCenterfor Advanced Judaic Studies (UniversityofPennsylvania).    

My dissertation, "Collecting the Pieces of Exile: A Critical View of Folklore Research inIsraelin the 1940s-1950s", was the recipient of the Allan Bronfman Prize for a distinguished doctoral dissertation of the Authority for Research Students at the Hebrew University.

I am about to submit a manuscript based on my dissertation (Hebrew) and together with Galit Hasan-Rokem we are contracted by the Simon Dubnow Institute for Jewish History and Culture in Leipzig for a volume of primary sources with commentary to be titled: The History of Jewish Folklore Research 1750-1950.
